Boston Engine and Train List
Among a folder of Railway Enthusiast correspondence was a list of trains, with train number, locomotive number, time, and length of the train. No other information, other than the date, was included. It would seem that a member of the club stood trackside for 4 hours one evening, recording this information on club letterhead. This data is now transcribed in Excel, with added fields for Inward/Outward notation, Origination, Termination, and Division. As my closest ETT on hand was #53, effective 9-30-1951, Tom E. Thompson provided additional data from his resources in order to complete those fields. Please help preserve and share the history of New England railroads.
